Words from Hyperion for the 9D Community (2)

New informations from Hyperion about 9Dragons. The original topic can be found here. Here’s the most important, I may give my opinion:

Hey all,

Sooooooo, it has been a very long week. VERY LONG! I’m sure you all agree.

With that said, today we have been working on getting the website up. There was some quick edits that had to be made and the Developers are working to get it live now.

I am leaving the office for the day (to drive for 8 hours in traffic to get to northern CA for the long weekend) and unfortunatly cannot wait for the site to come up to confirm its live and working, so I’ve passed that duty to my boss smile.gif.

The new 9Dragons website can be found here, check it out later and leave your comments below (yes I am leaving the thread open).

The 9Dragons website is indeed live already. Check www.gamersfirst.com/9dragons to take a look. Except that the Dragon information and all the other storyline based informations about the game is not on the website, it looks good so far.

It should be noted that Monday is Labor Day, one of the 7 holidays that Americans get as a paid day off…which is unfortunate, because we all want to come in and work…yes, I’m serious. It’s just bad timing, AGAIN.

GamersFirst employees want to work on a paid day off, just to have statisfied players and customers. That’s new. Something like this was never seen from Acclaim. I would not believe those words, if they would come from Acclaim. But when I see the things the GamersFirst employees are doing, then I do believe them.

Over the long weekend, we expect a lot of progress from Indy21 and our configuration of the servers to be done…which means we will be much closer to getting the game back running.

I really hope to be able to update you all on the status of the Account DB and when the Game will be up on Tuesday. I’ll give that a 65% chance of happening tongue.gif.

Just as little note: 65% chance is not 100%. So, you should not think already that 9Dragons will be back online on Tuesday. 65% is a good chance, but we need to stay realistic.

Once I do give you an update, things will start to happen quickly, but ill give dates when I am able.

Have a GREAT weekend everyone, but sure to stay entertained and healthy. I look forward to being back here with you soon!

Hugs and Kisses,

Hyperion

(p.s. I knocked out all my PM’s smile.gif)

It is good to see that GamersFirst informs their players every day or almost every day. That was a very rare thing at Acclaim. Players had to wait some months for an official statement, if there was a statement at all. GamersFirst informs us about what’s happening, about what will happen, and about what happened already. And we can see the results: The 9Dragons website is online already.

This is indeed a new experience for those 9Dragons players who never played another game where there was professionalism. Yes, even a Free2Play MMO can be leaded professional. We didn’t see a lot about GamersFirst yet, indeed. But so far, it looks like there are actions after words from GamersFirst. I give it a 65% chance that this will stay like that 😀

  1. So fare, G1 has been helpfull, cariyng players needs, workors and sayng the truth from the beginig. Hyperion and his team are working hard. 9d community likes him

  2. ‘This is indeed a new experience for those 9Dragons players who never played another game where there was professionalism. Yes, even a Free2Play MMO can be leaded professional.’

    True.

  3. When community members chat and interact with each other, they will build a relationship and will be more devoted to the community. I thinks he wants to do this.

  4. Instead of all sucking up to G1, until you find out they wont unban you.
You might want to think about why there is such a mess, why did 9D shutdown before planned.
Some smart person at G1 announced before contract end, anybody with a little common sense.
And some knowledge of these things, knows your not supposed to do that.
So before all being so grateful to G1, think about who is really responsible.

    • Even if they wont unban me – I don’t care. I see the good things, and what they do is already a lot better than what Acclaim did.

G1’s currently situation is very bad. But not because of their own mess, but because of what Acclaim/Playdom/Disney did.

G1 announced it as soon they had their contract – And that’s something normal and totally legal. Feel free to prove something else.

Before being so hateful to G1, think about who is really responsible. (It is Acclaim, by the way.)

  5. “Just as little note: 65% chance is not 100%. So, you should not think already that 9Dragons will be back online on Tuesday.”

Actually if you read the Update well, it actually says that there’s a 65% chance on them giving us information on the Database and when the game might be up.
