We have found some more news about the upcoming fate of 9Dragons which we want to share with you:
In Acclaim’s official 9Dragons Message Board, the VGMs and Moderators got a hard time with the question of the players: “What will happen with 9Dragons?” And, like always, they can’t stop to be a smart-ass and only answer “9Dragons will not close down”
Maybe 9Dragons will not. But Acclaim will!

This website is ingerman, but I can explain you what it tells:
Apart from some informations about the game itself, it tells that the publisher OnNet Online will take over 9Dragons for Germany from fall 2010 on.
We have checked OnNet Online, and we found out that they want to offer their products in german, french and spanish. So this makes it hard to guess if they will just publish 9Dragons for Germany only, or for more european countries, or even the whole Europe. But fact is, 9Dragons is beeing handed over to other publishers, away from Acclaim.

interesting news. But what exactly are we talking about here? Acclaim owns the publishing rights in Europe so will they sell/transfer these rights to the publisher above? and what of the American rights? Afterall its pretty clear that acclaim is going down the tubes and cancelling all thier games so why would they keep the American rights? I hope to god that they transfer them over to that German company and I hope that english speakers will have the chance to play an english version of the game and no one will lose thier accounts.
The next couple of weeks will be very interesting.
Its highly possible that this would be a move to Germany only 9D. Similar moves have been made by Indy (example 9D Thai) in the past. The site itself is entirely in German.
Maybe Acclaim wont really care about the German players, and keep Bardo. Im sure they get the most money out of Bardo than Nirvana. Or perhaps they kill Bardo and 9D-Ger has to start from scratch.

I like it how you guys are all like yaaay. yupyyy, but you forget one thing. each time someone new came to the 9d community you were all like finnaly things will be a lot better around here, but each time it proved to be a lot worse. so what makes you guys think that if 9d changed publisher things will get a turn for the better? thats right, your blind hatred for acclaim.
The thing was: Every new Game Manager deserved a new chance and all were happy that the things might get better. But, of course, all Acclaim guys are the same. With a totally new publisher it can’t be worse than Acclaim. Either better or the same. But also here it’s the same: They deserve a chance.

Germany, believe it or not, is part of Europe. There will be a german, a french and a spanish version from OnNet Online (3 languages from Europe). In the world of MMOs there can’t be 2 publishers for the same country. This means, if OnNet will publish 9Dragons in germany, france and spain, then Acclaim would need to stop offering their services for those countries, IF Acclaim would continue to publishing 9Dragons. But every game they publish(ed) is going to be closed or moved, so what makes you think that 9Dragons will be the only one MMO they keep?
And, secondly, we never said “US 9D’s new Publisher will be OnNet Online”. To get mixed or maked up quotes from Acclaim guys isn’t new for me, so don’t worry, I don’t take it personal.

This is not exactly true. It just says that they will bring 9D to Germany, nothing about a take-over.

This is not very true either. As Acclaim 9D has K, J, RU players despite those countries have/had their own versions. 9D RU was also open for other players when it launched even though it was crashing with the EU version of Acclaim.
If they only provide their games in German, French and Spanish, they can’t make EU version. Like it or not, English is the universal language. seeing how many 9D players don’t even speak that, you can’t really expect them to play a game which is not published in a language they understand(talking mainly about the RO community, which makes up for the larger part of Bardo.

You seem to lack of information. If a company buys the license (for Germany), then the other company (Acclaim), which had until this date, has to IP ban users from Germany, French, Spain for example (who knows what comes more). Same thing with Korean 9D.
This is the deal. Else it would be completely useless for OneNet to buy the license from Indy21 as none would move.
They do not have to IP ban people from other countries. They just do if they want. Best example were the japanese and russian 9D.

… I know you guys will lose the “official” whiskers if Acclame will lose the rights to 9D but think at the other people around. We all want a change, Acclame already disappointed us. 2006/2010 is enough, we all want another 9D. I am glad I have an alternative from Europe.

Acclaim is doing a huge publicity on 9Dragons page to a Playdom game Wild Ones,a facebook game, half of screen is full of that game. 9D is going to another publisher for sure.
What is going on, nobody knows for sure. I heard in 25th august we will know it.
