Consequence, or a consequence is the concept of a resulting effect (cf. cause and effect, arising from another action). Somebody once said that “Everybody, sooner or later, sits down to a banquet of consequences.” Those words are in my mind everytime I want to do something.
Acclaim does not understand that, when they lie or do things that are detrimental to players , sooner or later there will be consequences. The LIES, the BUGS, the BROKEN PROMISES, the UNBALNCE of PVP, MONEY HUNGER, the INABILITY to adapt to new things, LATE UPDATES, the failure to COMMUNICATE with the COMMUNITY, people who are NOT PROFESSIONALS in their job, BAD MANAGEMENT… all have consequences on long term.
It is visible that the population of servers is continuously decreasing. I don’t say it with no evidences… the servers show it. Today was Lucky Cricket Event on Bardo and guess how the server looked like at full ‘hour of event’ :
So at full trafic Bardo server is at 51%.Decrease in players is evident. In the moments of glory the rate was over 85% . Before Tibet map, tired of Acclaim lies, many veterans have dropped down the game and many players moved to another games ( like AION). This thing is visible now more than ever.Even with Tibet map I never sow more than 60% on server. And 60% was few days after Tibet. It is only too easy to lie and later try to escape the consequences of what you say.One way or another, with time, players were charged Acclaim for their lies and dropped the game. Many did and many others will do it in the future. The truth is that only positive consequences encourage good future performances. You can do whatever you want, but remember, it is also you who has to face the consequences of what you have done.
And this is the start of Acclaim failure.Maybe one of the reasons that Acclaim don’t see what’s coming when its coming is that it doesn’t look like what it is on the way in. Maybe it’s because its only one of the preliminaries and Acclaim don’t make the connection that it’s leading to something else. It’s like having flu symptoms but it’s not the flu, or that rash that looks like an allergy but it’s not an allergy. It’s the first appearance of a terminal situation…

Asura and Nirvana are already ghost servers, soon Bardo too. It is true that players don’t log in so much as they did 1 year or 2 years ago for the reasons of what you said above.
True, time will tell and will make the difference.

When fun become fatigue is a problem and that is Acclaim problem. Ofc players will move on to other games.
Bardo is no longer the server used to be.
I sow the post that sonyboy linked and I find Fugen words stupids. Like players believe Acclaim. All the post shows players suspicion over Acclaim for the reasons pointed by vennus.
Acclaim servers are not build for many people that is why they lag like hell, but few players means low chances for the game to survive. There are many reasons why I don’t liek this and many why I like it. Acclaim is one of the reason I don’t like it.

I like how anon put on the table the problem. Fugen like others don’t pay attention. He wants more money for his income and don’t think at all at players who give money. You pay a service, you are the MASTER and they the slave. But, as we all sow, they think they are the MASTERS and speak with people who pays like slaves. One more reason to don’t give them money. They need to learn be SLAVES.
9Dragons will die soon (sooner than Acclaim’s “soon”). Those promotions and Off Sales are just to make as much money as possible, before closing 9Dragons. Hermit and Fugen can see pretty clear that 9Dragons is dying. But they would be stupid if they would tell it, no? They would lose faster people and more money. So of course, they tell all the time, that 9Dragons is populated, that it is one of the best games, and that there are right now less people online because of “GameGuard”…
I know for a fact that Acclaim’s contract with Indy21 will end on September 2010. And I really doubt that Acclaim will extend it.
So, dear people… Go an buy as many Item Mall items as possible. Soon (sooner than Acclaim’s “soon”) you will lose everything again.
Before that let’s hurt Acclaim where they love the most : MONEY.
I hope Indy21 will not give another publisher rights to Acclaim, for Europe at least. Better change the company and people will be happy. Servers rate is going down very easy. Tibet could not change the situation.

The word ‘Soon’ for Acclaim will be soon the word ‘EnD’. 9dragons is no longer in the the old glory years. It’s a game that already begins to erode. The moment of end will come with Soul & Blade release. Than Bardo will be 12% as Asura it is now. Many players love martial arts and still play 9D for that. They have not found a replacement yet.
